May 24/25, 2011: Doris Kearns Goodwin and her husband Richard Goodwin were in London last week for a state banquet for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at Buckingham Palace, as guests of Queen Elizabeth II, and the following night at the Return State Dinner in honor of the Queen hosted by the President at Winfield House.
